Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of HVAC or refrigeration service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Commercial HVAC experience preferred.
• Residential technicians may be considered if they have strong service skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug test.
• Willingness to work 45+ hours per week and rotate weekend on-call.
• Travel across Hampton Roads for longer-distance travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC or refrigeration systems.
• Service rooftop units, air handlers, chillers, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and related systems.
• Work in commercial, industrial, medical, light commercial, property management, and food service environments.
• Communicate with dispatch and service managers via phone updates.
• Complete service documentation accurately.
• Participate in weekend on-call rotation.
• Travel throughout Hampton Roads, with some longer-distance customer work as needed.

A long-established commercial mechanical contractor is hiring experienced Commercial HVAC-R Service Technicians for field service work across Hampton Roads.

This is a full-time W2 role focused on commercial HVAC and refrigeration troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. The company needs technicians who can diagnose equipment issues, not just install systems.

Why this role is open

The company is expanding its field service team due to steady year-round commercial service demand. This is not a seasonal residential role.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC or refrigeration systems.
• Service equipment such as rooftop units, air handlers, chillers, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and related systems.
• Work in commercial, industrial, medical, light commercial, property management, and food service environments.
