Job summary

MSS A Crete United Company is seeking an experienced HVAC/R technician to support the Memphis TN area, plus NE AR and Northern MS. This role offers opportunities to grow skills while serving an excellent customer base.

The position requires 5+ years in commercial HVAC maintenance and universal EPA certification. You will diagnose, repair, install, and optimize heating and cooling systems per plans and safety standards. Join a team that values development and safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience.
• EPA Certified.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC components with built up systems and package units.
• Ability to read electronic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearing, etc.
• Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect malfunctions.
• Determine customer concerns with HVAC and boiler systems.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Record and report faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, along with time and materials on work orders.
• Adjust system controls to manufacturer-recommended settings.
• Install components following blueprints and install duct work or chassis parts as required.
• Study blueprints and manufacturers' recommendations to ensure proper installation.

MSS Located in West Monroe, LA is expanding our operations, and we are looking for an experienced HVAC / R technician to join our team! This position will cover the Memphis TN area along with Northeast AR and Northern MS!

What You'll Do:

• Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearing, etc.
• Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
• Determine customer concerns with HVAC and boiler systems.
• Follow standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
• Record and report faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
• Adjust system controls to setting recommended by manufacturer to balance system.
• Recommend, develop, or perform maintenance procedures such as cleaning, power-washing, or vacuuming equipment, lubricate parts, or changing filters.
• Install auxiliary components to heating-cooling equipment, such as expansion and discharge valves, air ducts, pipes, blowers, dampers, flues, and stokers, following blueprints
• Study blueprints, design specifications, and manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components
• Fabricate, assemble, or install duct work or chassis parts, using portable metal-working tools or welding equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience
• Universally EPA Certified
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC components with built up systems and package units, which may include chiller air handler pump towers, cooling towers, control systems, boilers and air handling systems
• Ability to learn commercial expertise in boilers, chillers, pneumatic controls, digital controls and packaged HVAC equipment
• Ability to read electronic schematics
• High School diploma/GED required + equivalent work experience
