Job summary

Mechanical Systems & Service seeks an experienced HVAC technician to support operations across the Memphis, NE Arkansas and Northern Mississippi region, with duties including inspection, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of complex heating and cooling systems.

The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years in commercial HVAC maintenance, universal EPA certification, and the ability to read electrical schematics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience.
• EPA Universal certification.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC components and systems.
• Experience reading electronic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs to HVAC components and related equipment.
• Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications.
• Record faults and time/materials used on work orders.
• Adjust controls and balance system performance per manufacturer guidelines.
• Install components such as valves, ducts, and related equipment following blueprints.

MSS Located in West Monroe, LA is expanding our operations, and we are looking for an experienced HVAC / R technician to join our team! This position will cover the Memphis TN area along with Northeast AR and Northern MS!

What You'll Do:

• Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearing, etc.
• Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
• Determine customer concerns with HVAC and boiler systems.
• Follow standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
• Record and report faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
• Adjust system controls to setting recommended by manufacturer to balance system.
• Recommend, develop, or perform maintenance procedures such as cleaning, power-washing, or vacuuming equipment, lubricate parts, or changing filters.
• Install auxiliary components to heating-cooling equipment, such as expansion and discharge valves, air ducts, pipes, blowers, dampers, flues, and stokers, following blueprints
• Study blueprints, design specifications, and manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components
• Fabricate, assemble, or install duct work or chassis parts, using portable metal-working tools or welding equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience
• Universally EPA Certified
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC components with built up systems and package units, which may include chiller air handler pump towers, cooling towers, control systems, boilers and air handling systems
• Ability to learn commercial expertise in boilers, chillers, pneumatic controls, digital controls and packaged HVAC equipment
• Ability to read electronic schematics
• High School diploma/GED required + equivalent work experience
