Job summary

Dowling Corporation in New Hampshire is seeking an HVAC/R Install Technician to install, replace, modify, and commission commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. You will work with project managers and trades to ensure safe, on-schedule completion, including piping, ductwork, controls, and start-ups.

The role requires blueprint reading, brazing, soldering, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and work on rooftops or in confined spaces.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC/R installation experience preferred
• EPA Certification required or ability to obtain within established timeframe
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Strong understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings
• Experience using installation tools, testing equipment, and fabrication equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces, rooftops, and elevated work areas

Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical equipment including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, condensers, air handlers, and refrigeration systems
• Perform equipment replacements, upgrades, and new construction installations
• Install refrigerant piping, condensate piping, ductwork, controls wiring, and associated system components
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, submittals, and mechanical drawings
• Assist with rigging, placement, and securing of equipment
• Perform brazing, soldering, pipe fitting, and mechanical assembly as required
• Conduct pressure testing, evacuation, charging, and system start-up procedures
• Verify proper system operation and assist with commissioning activities
• Coordinate installation activities with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
• Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes, manufacturer requirements, and company safety policies
• Complete required installation documentation, equipment startup forms, and project reports
• Communicate project status, material needs, and installation challenges to supervisors and project teams

Job Title: HVAC/R Install Technician

Position Summary

The HVAC/R Install Technician is responsible for the installation, replacement, modification, and commissioning of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. This position performs equipment installations, piping, ductwork, controls integration, and system start-ups while ensuring all work meets applicable codes, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards. The technician works closely with project managers, plumbers, electricians, and other trades to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical equipment including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, condensers, air handlers, and refrigeration systems
