Job summary

Walmart is hiring a Developmental Technician, Facility Services HVAC/R in Virginia Beach, VA. The role covers HVAC/R maintenance, safety compliance, and field service responsibilities across multiple facilities.

You will complete forms, review logs, and assist with energy management systems, while following Walmart safety policies and procedures. The position involves travel to various facilities and requires reliable mechanical aptitude and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• Hold and maintain Universal or Type I and II EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report (MVR).
• Option 1: 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 2 years’ Walmart store experience.
• EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Performs required paperwork by completing forms and submitting to senior leadership.
• Gathers capital expenditures lists and develops scopes of work for HVAC/R updates.
• Identifies issues related to regular HVAC/R service and assists in maintenance tasks.
• Under supervision, completes assigned HVAC/R tasks following policies and guidance.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart safety policy.
