Job summary

KCC Companies is seeking an experienced Electrical Resource within our R&D team to drive electrical design and testing for HVAC products. You will wire, troubleshoot, and validate controls while collaborating with mechanical, software, and supplier teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Controls Engineering or equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of electrical safety practices (arc flash, lockout/tagout) and hazard mitigation.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, system drawings, and wiring diagrams.
Experience with high-voltage power systems and industrial loads.

Responsibilities

Develop, review, and optimize electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on electrical and controls decisions.
Troubleshoot electrical systems across 24V AC/DC to 575V during testing.
Conduct safety and performance evaluations; ensure NEC/UL compliance.
Support design and implementation of novel electrical components and controls for HVAC.
Create training materials and documentation for electrical systems.
Analyze data to validate performance and identify improvements.
Contribute to cross-functional R&D efforts including mechanical and software.
