Job summary

Benedict Sales & Service, Inc. is seeking a Controls Technician HVAC/R in Wisconsin to install, maintain, program BAS, pneumatic and electronic controls for commercial and industrial systems. The role requires an associate degree in HVAC/R and 3+ years in HVAC/R with control systems, EPA Universal Certification, and a valid driver’s license.

You will work independently with supervision, collaborate with teams, and travel to job sites as needed, ensuring safety and quality on every project.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in HVAC/R required.
• 3+ years in HVAC/R with control systems experience required.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid class D driver’s license and ability to transport equipment.

Responsibilities

• Installs, configures, and programs Building Automation Systems (BAS), PLC controllers, and environmental controls.
• Diagnoses and repairs pneumatic, electronic, and digital control systems.
• Calibrates temperature, pressure, and humidity controls; performs preventive HVAC/R maintenance.
• Looks after wiring, relays, and interlocks for HVAC/R systems.
• Uses software to monitor system performance and manage BAS networks (BACnet, Modbus, N2).
• Communicates project plans, progress, and results with internal teams and clients.
• Reviews design plans and provides control sequences of operation for remodels and new construction.
