Job summary

TCAT-Hartsville invites applications for a part-time adjunct HVAC/R instructor to deliver both theory and hands-on instruction at the Wilson County affiliate campus in Lebanon, Tennessee. The role requires professional HVAC/R experience and the ability to teach in a lab and classroom setting.

The instructor will coordinate with the HVAC/R program, maintain industry relations, and adapt to varying hours. Prior teaching experience is preferred and candidates must stay current in the HVAC/R field.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; Associate Degree and teaching experience preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years in residential and/or commercial HVAC/R field.
• Evidence of instructional program management and supervision is desired.
• Evidence of proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
• Must have good organizational and planning skills.
• Must be willing to remain current in the HVAC/R profession.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and evaluate all phases of the HVAC/R program.
• Provide individualized classroom and lab instruction to students to prepare them to become HVAC/R technicians.
• Maintain good public relations with business and industry and cooperate with outside agencies.
• Willing to go above and beyond; be a team player in a growing institution.
• Hours and days will vary.
