Job summary

Brightwing is seeking an experienced HVAC Quick Quote Estimator to deliver fast, accurate estimates for commercial and residential HVAC projects. The role supports sales with timely proposals and requires hands-on HVAC or mechanical construction experience.

The ideal candidate will manage a high volume of quote requests, perform quick assessments, and use established pricing structures and databases to produce competitive quotes while maintaining accuracy and consistency.

Qualifications

• 2+ to 5+ years of experience in HVAC installation, service, estimating or related mechanical field.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with ability to interpret project information and develop pricing.
• Ability to learn and utilize estimating software and pricing platforms.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Rapid Quote Development: prepare accurate HVAC estimates within tight turnaround times.
• Scope Assessment: review building dimensions, equipment photos, and site details to determine requirements.
• Standardized Takeoffs: use pricing structures, tools, matrices, and databases to develop quotes.

• Customer & Contractor Communication: clarify scope, specs, and pricing with stakeholders.
• Lead Management: respond to inbound quote requests from multiple channels.

This position is ideal for someone with hands‑on HVAC or mechanical construction experience who can quickly assess project requirements, develop accurate pricing, and support the sales team with timely proposals.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical construction, and estimating fundamentals, along with the ability to manage a high volume of quote requests in a fast‑paced environment.

HVAC Quick Quote Estimator Position Overview

• Rapid Quote Development: Prepare accurate HVAC estimates and pricing within tight turnaround times while maintaining a high level of detail and accuracy.
• Scope Assessment: Review building dimensions, equipment photos, existing system information, and basic site details to determine equipment and project requirements.
• Standardized Takeoffs: Utilize established pricing structures, estimating tools, software, pricing matrices, and equipment databases to develop quotes efficiently.
• Project Review: Evaluate equipment, labor, materials, sheet metal, and other mechanical requirements necessary to complete the proposed work.
• Customer & Contractor Communication: Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and internal sales teams to clarify project scope, specifications, and pricing requirements.
• Lead Management: Monitor and respond to inbound quote requests received through websites, digital platforms, phone inquiries, and other sources.
• Sales Support: Prepare and deliver finalized quotes to sales representatives or comfort advisors for customer follow‑up and closing.
• Quote Tracking: Maintain organized records of active estimates, follow‑ups, revisions, and completed proposals.

• HVAC Experience: 2-5+ years of experience in HVAC installation, service, estimating, construction, or a related mechanical field.
• HVAC Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial and residential HVAC systems, including:

• Mechanical Knowledge: Working knowledge of HVAC installation practices, sheet metal, mechanical systems, and applicable mechanical codes.
