Job summary

Meier Supply is seeking a Purchasing / Inventory role in Conklin, NY. The position focuses on purchasing stocking HVAC products across branches and managing a multi-million-dollar inventory portfolio.

You’ll coordinate with branch managers to optimize product mix and pricing strategies, ensuring availability and cost efficiency. The role requires a good eye for inventory control, strong negotiation skills, and familiarity with Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; associates degree preferred but not required.
• 1 year or more of progressive sales or purchasing experience.
• 2 years experience in Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Purchase stocking products from various vendors and manufacturers for all companies and/or branches.
• Maintain system ordering controls to insure proper inventory levels.
• Communicate with branch managers and sales managers to maintain proper product mix at all locations.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, cash discounts, and rebates with vendors where applicable.
• Replenish/remix stock between companies and branches to maintain stock levels and product mix.
• Visit branches periodically to discuss inventory/purchasing issues.
• Formulate solutions for eliminating overstock/obsolescence on product lines.
• Make sound decisions for the company’s best interests.
