Job summary

IES Residential in Dayton is seeking a detail‑oriented HVAC Punch Out Technician to join our residential installation team. You will complete the final inspection, testing, and corrections to ensure systems meet code and company standards before customer handoff.

The role requires 2–4 years of HVAC installation or service experience, EPA Type II or Universal certification, a clean driving record, and strong attention to detail, communication, and problem‑solving.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspections, testing, and adjustments on residential HVAC systems to ensure full functionality and code compliance.
• Identify and correct installation deficiencies, including ductwork adjustments, wiring, refrigerant charging, and system calibration.
• Complete all punch list items promptly and accurately to close out jobs.
• Collaborate with installation teams, office staff, and customers to ensure a seamless project completion.
• Maintain detailed records and complete punch lists and quality control forms.
• Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized; maintain tools and company vehicle in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform final inspections, testing, and adjustments on residential HVAC systems to ensure full functionality and compliance with code and company standards.
• Identify and correct any installation deficiencies, including ductwork adjustments, wiring, refrigerant charging, and system calibration.
• Complete all punch list items promptly and accurately to close out jobs.
• Collaborate with installation teams, office staff, and customers to ensure a seamless project completion.
• Maintain detailed records and complete digital or paper punch lists and quality control forms.
• Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized; maintain tools and company vehicle in excellent condition.

Preferred

• Graduate of an HVAC trade school or technical training program.
