Job summary

BeMore Staffing in Lothian, MD is seeking a Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician on a temp-to-perm basis to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of residential properties. The role covers electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general upkeep with a strong emphasis on safety and service quality.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in apartment maintenance, unit make-ready, and basic groundskeeping, plus HVAC exposure and EPA certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months hands-on experience in apartment or property maintenance.
• Experience in unit make-ready and residential repairs; basic groundskeeping.
• HVAC experience and EPA certification (Type 1, 2, 3, Universal, or equivalent) are highly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Must provide and maintain a personal set of basic maintenance tools.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, working independently or collaboratively.
• Apartment Maintenance: 1–2 years of experience.
• Property Maintenance: 1–2 years of experience.
• HVAC: 1–2 years of experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including electrical repairs, plumbing fixes, appliance servicing, carpentry, masonry, and painting.
• Maintain and repair residential components such as showers, sinks, doors, cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
• Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to residents, clients, and internal teams.
• Respond efficiently and effectively to resident service requests and maintenance tickets.
• Prepare rental units for move-ins by completing all required make-ready tasks and quality checks.
• Implement annual preventative maintenance programs to extend the life of equipment and systems.
• Conduct routine grounds maintenance, including debris removal, sweeping, and light landscaping.
• Support special projects and initiatives as directed by management.
