How you will do it

• Apprentices will be trained and will perform work on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
• Apprentices will participate in certified training through the Service Technical Academy to build skill sets, providing opportunities for recognition, monetary rewards, and advancement.
• Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and customer needs.
• You will keep JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed.
• You will meet attendance requirements for the necessary Union training during the first year.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support your recommendations and solutions.

This is a Bargaining Union Position

What we look for

• 1+ years of industry experience or experience servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
• Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation, and servicing techniques.
• Effective interpersonal skills to professionally represent Johnson Controls to customers and outside contacts.
• Leadership skills to support activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment.
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Prioritize safety in all activities.
• A valid driver’s license is required for this position.

Preferred

• 1-2 years of trade school or college education with a technical emphasis.
