Job summary

Airco MEP, a leading commercial HVAC contractor based in Troy, Illinois, is seeking a hands-on Project Manager / Estimator to support growth. The role blends estimating preconstruction work with project execution, from bid through closeout, on-site in Troy.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial HVAC estimating or PM, strong plan/spec reading, vendor/subcontractor pricing, and solid communication with customers and field teams. Domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial HVAC estimating or PM.
• Ability to read plans and specs, perform takeoffs, build budgets.
• Experience pricing and managing commercial projects (tenant improvements, healthcare, education).
• Strong knowledge of submittals, RFIs, procurement, scheduling, and change orders.
• Excellent communication with customers, GC, field teams.

Responsibilities

• Estimate commercial HVAC projects by reviewing drawings and specs.
• Prepare proposals, bid summaries, and pricing recommendations.
• Manage projects from handoff through closeout, including schedules, procurement, RFIs, changes.
• Support billing and project financial reviews.
• Coordinate with field leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive project closeout and lessons learned.
