Job summary

Star Service, Inc. of Houston is seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC installation projects from concept to completion. You’ll manage scope, budget, and scheduling while coordinating with general contractors, engineers, and vendors.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years PM experience in commercial mechanical construction, solid knowledge of mechanical plans/spec and design/build, and strong organizational and communication skills; a Construction Management degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of PM experience in commercial mechanical construction.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical plans/spec & design/build.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and perform under pressure.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial HVAC installation projects from start to finish.
• Oversee scope, budget, and scheduling.
• Collaborate with general contractors, engineers, and vendors.
• Handle RFIs, submittals, change proposals, and schedules.
• Ensure permits and regulatory compliance.
• Optimize cost by managing materials and vendor returns.
• Prepare and review monthly ECAC reports.

We are a full-service commercial mechanical systems provider specializing in design, fabrication, installation, service, and maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Project Manager who can lead projects with precision, exceed client expectations, and drive profitability.

What You’ll Do:

• Effectively use your knowledge of mechanical plans/spec and design/build to manage commercial HVAC installation projects from start to finish
• Oversee project scope, budget, and scheduling to ensure smooth execution
• Work closely with general contractors, engineers, and vendors
• Handle RFIs, submittals, change proposals, and project schedules
• Ensure proper permits are obtained and compliance with all regulations
• Optimize cost efficiency by managing materials, purchasing , and vendor returns
• Prepare and review monthly Estimated Cost at Completion (ECAC) reports

What We’re Looking For:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial mechanical construction
• Strong knowledge of mechanical plans/spec & design/build industry
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and perform under pressure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• A team-oriented mindset with the ability to make independent decisions
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related (preferred but not required )
