Clear. is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to join our Downers Grove, IL team. You will oversee HVAC and mechanical scopes on a variety of complex construction projects within an integrated design-build environment.

This opportunity offers a base salary up to $140,000 plus a performance-based bonus, ESOP, and comprehensive benefits, with clear opportunities for career progression and internal promotion.

Qualifications

• Degree or background in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Proven experience managing HVAC/mechanical scopes on commercial/industrial projects.
• Experience in design-build environments is advantageous.
• Organized, motivated and able to take responsibility from planning to delivery.
• Strong communication, coordination and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for managing HVAC and mechanical scope from planning through closeout.
• Coordinate subcontractors, procurement, schedules, budgets, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with designers, superintendents, clients and field personnel to keep progress.
• Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget with high quality and safety.

The Opportunity

As an HVAC Project Manager, you will oversee the HVAC and mechanical aspects of a variety of complex construction projects. The project portfolio includes industrial facilities, manufacturing environments, controlled environment agriculture, and large-scale commercial developments.

Working within an integrated design-build environment, you will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, beginning with preconstruction and continuing through final project completion. You will work closely with internal design professionals, field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to coordinate activities and ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for managing the HVAC and mechanical scope from the early planning and preconstruction stages through procurement, construction, and closeout.
• Coordinate subcontractors, oversee procurement activities, manage project schedules, monitor budgets, and maintain strong communication with all project stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with internal designers, superintendents, clients, and other members of the project team to keep work progressing efficiently.
• Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
• Take ownership of projects, proactively identify potential challenges, and work with the wider team to develop effective solutions from project start through completion.

What We're Looking For

• Degree or professional background in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, along with proven experience managing HVAC or mechanical scopes on commercial and/or industrial construction projects.
• Previous experience working within a design-build environment would be highly advantageous.
• We are looking for someone who is organized, motivated, and confident taking responsibility for projects from initial planning through final delivery.
• Strong communication, coordination, and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, designers, and field personnel.
