Job summary

O’Connor Company in Rapid City, SD is seeking a part-time team member to support mechanical engineering projects in the commercial HVAC sector. You will help with research, documentation, and preparation of shop drawings and manuals under supervision.

This role offers hands-on exposure to HVAC project workflows, with potential to move to a full-time position as you gain experience and demonstrate reliability and teamwork. Strong organization and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office, viewing PDFs, browsing the web and email.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Positive attitude and ability to maintain good relationships with customers, contractors and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Review job specifications for pertinent details and approvals.
• Do job take-off from mechanical blueprints.
• Assemble and submit shop drawings, O&M Manuals and documentation for projects.
• Monitor and document status of jobs, orders and ship dates.
• Communicate with customers on the status of various jobs and orders.

Education Requirements
