Job summary

Hooper Deforest is seeking a Project Coordinator to assist project managers by planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating tasks to meet cost, quality, equipment utilization and safety targets.

The role requires a 2-year technical education in engineering or construction management or an apprenticeship, with 1–3 years of related experience preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
• Comfortable leading and guiding teams on projects.
• Comfortable tracking and maintaining project budgets.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project management including estimates, materials procurement, drawings, subcontracts, and meetings.
• Assist planning of manpower, equipment, and supply needs.
• Help establish project objectives, timelines, budgets, safety standards and monitor adherence.
• Monitor maintenance and safeguarding of equipment, tools and supplies.
• Assist in contract administration: change orders, invoicing, expenses, etc.
