Job summary

MAHLE is seeking a Product Engineer for the NA HVAC Heat Exchanger Group to support AC-HX product application and validation within NA Development Programs. You will interface with global teams, drive test plans and performance verification, and lead cost optimization efforts for NA AC-HX initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and at least 7 years of experience with aluminum heat exchangers, including brazed HX. Travel to NA sites is required on a moderate basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with aluminum heat exchanger material systems and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of aluminum alloy corrosion mechanisms.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with brazed aluminum heat exchangers.

Responsibilities

• Interface with MAHLE Global Product Development Teams and Customer Teams to support program development including test plans, concept validation and performance verification.
• Provide input to the design and development of HVAC and AC-HX products based on validation test results and lessons learned.
• Lead Product Cost Optimization activities for NA AC-HX initiatives.
• Lead warranty analysis for NA AC-HX.
• Lead and participate in the efforts to create documents such as test plans, control plans, DFMEA, PFMEA, DVPR, PVPR, etc with AC-HX components to support program timing and deliverables.
• Willingness and ability to travel to all NA Regional locations to support activities on a moderate basis including; Ramos-MX, Juarez-MX, Dayton-OH, US, Farmington Hills-MI, US.

Your Contribution

Your Experience & Qualifications

• Knowledge and ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience in brazed aluminum heat exchangers.
