Job summary

ABM in Savannah, GA is seeking an HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment in a safety-focused, team-oriented environment. The role involves climbing ladders, using lifts, and working at various heights as part of maintaining building systems; schedule is Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–11:30pm.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • One (1) year of similar work experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of building systems and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work at heights and operate various lifts.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies maintenance risks on equipment
  • Performs routine HVAC filter changes
  • Performs preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Completes assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance
  • Responsible for housekeeping of mechanical areas as well as other equipment, systems or structures.
  • Ensures compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Completes other duties as assigned
  • Willingness to Work at Various Heights: comfortable working in elevated environments; may be at different heights for extended periods.
  • Ladder Climbing: capable of safely ascending and descending ladders of various sizes and types.
  • Utilizing Various Lifts: proficiency in operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other devices to reach higher areas.
