Job summary

ABM is seeking an HVAC Technician I to assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC/R systems under the guidance of the Chief Engineer. You will perform routine preventive maintenance and respond to basic service requests in a dynamic facilities environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a technical HVAC certification where possible, with 3 years of maintenance or service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Technical school certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or related field preferred.
• 3 years of HVAC maintenance or service experience.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams, and technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, including air handlers, rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, chillers, boilers, and exhaust systems.
• Assist with diagnosing and repairing HVAC system malfunctions.
• Replace filters, belts, motors, thermostats, and other system components as directed.
• Inspect equipment and report any deficiencies or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
• Assist with the installation of HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, controls, and related components.
• Support equipment startup and operational testing.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, testing devices, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.

Payrate: hourly rate | Weekly pay
