Job summary

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is seeking a Skilled Maintenance Technician to perform HVAC, refrigeration and plumbing system maintenance in a large institutional facility. You will read blueprints, service ventilation and piping, troubleshoot issues and ensure code compliance while coordinating with other trades as needed.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and formal technical training or equivalent experience; EPA 608 certification and Arkansas Plumbing

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to operate tools and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled maintenance and repair of HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Installs, inspects, and services mechanical, piping, and ventilation systems.
• Troubleshoots system malfunctions and performs corrective maintenance.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and technical manuals.
• Ensures compliance with state building codes and safety regulations.
• May assist in other trades as needed.
