Job summary

GUNTHERS is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to support HVAC and plumbing design projects in Utah. The role involves creating 3D drawings, performing load calculations, and coordinating with suppliers and the internal team to ensure accurate documentation and conformance.

Office-based collaboration is required; travel to customer sites may be necessary. The candidate should have Revit MEP experience, BIM 360 skills, and strong communication abilities to support project deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC and/or Plumbing installation and specifications is helpful.
• Experience with Revit MEP 2020-2024 is required; BIM 360 and Navisworks skills are expected.
• Flexible work hours and ability to manage deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication; organized and customer service oriented.
• 1+ years of HVAC/plumbing design experience preferred but not required.
• PE license is a bonus.
• Occasional travel to customer sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D HVAC and plumbing drawings; connect systems, size and tag components.
• Ensure schedules, notes, and specs are up to date.
• Coordinate BIM360 setup, coordination and management.
• Interface with equipment suppliers as needed.
• Perform HVAC and plumbing load calculations.
• Source cut sheets for equipment and include in project sheets.
• Coordinate with clients and internal team; support project engineer.
• Attend site visits to verify equipment sizing and conformance.
• Support installations and maintain positive relationships with customers.
