Position Objectives

HVAC/Plumbing Technicians are responsible for preventative/predictive maintenance, installation, and repair of plumbing systems. They utilize layout drawings and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues, working with various types of plumbing including water, air, CO2, oil, sewer, and wastewater treatment. Knowledge of HVAC and pneumatic systems is preferred, with safety compliance per OSHA standards.

Essential Functions

• Read and interpret plumbing and HVAC system diagrams.
• Use tools and techniques to repair and maintain plumbing systems, including drain snakes and cameras.
• Assist with installation of new HVAC, plumbing, and pneumatic systems.
• Follow all safety and OSHA guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and repair drains, toilets, sinks, and handwash stations.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting is preferred.
• Follow maintenance manuals and locate replacement components.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and tools.
• Follow GMPs and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Adhere to attendance and safety regulations.

Physical/Mental Requirements

• Reaching, lifting up to 100 lbs, working in various environments, and working over 40 hours per week.
• Ability to interpret instructions, read documents, and solve practical problems.

Working Relationships

Maintain harmonious relations with all departments and communicate effectively.

Experience and Skills

Technician I: Minimum 3 years’ experience as an industrial plumber; journeyman credentials a plus.

Technician II: Minimum 5 years’ experience; journeyman credentials preferred.

Technician III: Minimum 7 years’ experience; journeyman credentials recommended.
