Job summary

Mechanical Sales Inc. in Iowa is hiring for an inside sales/parts counter role supporting customers of commercial HVAC equipment. You will identify, quote, and order replacement parts, research part numbers, and coordinate with manufacturers to confirm pricing, availability, and lead times.

This position emphasizes strong customer service, communication, and accuracy, with opportunities for training and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HVAC parts or related parts experience preferred.
• Counter/inside sales experience preferred.
• Experience researching part numbers and diagrams preferred.
• Strong customer service, written and verbal communication, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in identifying and ordering replacement parts for commercial HVAC equipment.
• Respond to inquiries by phone, email, and in person with professionalism and urgency.
• Research parts using manufacturer catalogs, diagrams, and technical resources.
• Prepare accurate quotes and process customer orders.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to determine pricing, availability, and lead times.
• Follow up with customers on open orders and provide status updates.
• Work with service and sales teams to support customer needs.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including pulling orders.
• Maintain accurate customer and order records.
• Resolve customer concerns with a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
• Continuously learn new products and manufacturer offerings.
• Maintain regular attendance and be able to work overtime when needed.
