Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking an experienced HVAC Operator (Intermediate or Senior) for the Facilities department. You will operate, monitor, repair, and maintain HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing systems, reporting to the Plant Operations Supervisor.

The role requires willingess to work 2nd shift (2pm–10pm) with rotating weekends; candidates should bring several years of HVAC experience and a valid HVAC-related credential.

Qualifications

• Intermediate level requires 3–5+ years HVAC experience.
• Senior level requires 5–9+ years HVAC experience.
• High school diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled inspection, testing, and monitoring of HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing systems; identify and implement corrective actions.
• Complete preventive and urgent maintenance to ensure proper equipment operation.
• Maintain and review boiler/chiller logs and inspect pressure vessels.
• Assist other departments and trades as required.
