Job summary

Edelman Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, Electric & Solar is seeking an HVAC Manager to lead department operations across Illinois and Wisconsin, develop technicians, and own the P&L for the group.

The role requires proven leadership in residential/commercial HVAC, EPA Section 608 certification, and deep system/codes knowledge. You will drive costing, scheduling, and margin accountability while maintaining safety and quality across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in HVAC service/installation operations.
• Deep technical knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and refrigerant handling.
• Ability to own job costing and margin accountability.

Responsibilities

• Own the Department: manage HVAC service and installation operations across Illinois and Wisconsin.
• Lead scheduling, performance, and development of technicians.
• Enforce Edelman standard for quality and safety.
• Own the numbers: manage job costing, estimates, and margin accountability.
• Resolve issues on site to maintain customer trust.
• Ensure EPA refrigerant compliance (Section 608) and code adherence.
