Job summary

Edelman, LLC is seeking an HVAC Manager to run department operations across Illinois and Wisconsin. You will own the HVAC service and installation work, both residential and commercial, while developing technicians and ensuring profitability.

Lead scheduling, enforce safety and compliance (EPA Section 608), coach staff, and uphold Edelman’s high standards. This role requires multi-location coverage and strong business acumen.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing residential and/or commercial HVAC operations.
• EPA Section 608 Certification required.
• Deep technical knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and refrigerant handling.
• Experience owning job costing, scheduling, and margin accountability.
• Willingness to support multiple locations across Illinois and Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Own the Department:Take full ownership of HVAC service and installation operations across Illinois and Wisconsin.
• Lead the Team: Manage technician scheduling, performance, and development, building a bench of technicians.
• Protect Quality: Hold every job to Edelman standard—proper installs, honest diagnostics, no shortcuts.
• Own the Numbers: Manage job costing, estimates, and margin accountability for the department.
• Solve Problems Before They Escalate: Fix issues on site and maintain customer trust.
• Set the Standard for Safety and Compliance: Enforce EPA 608 and code requirements without exception.
