One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning – A Growing HVAC Startup in Seattle, WA is seeking a hands-on Lead HVAC Technician/Operations Manager to scale operations and drive service excellence. You will blend field HVAC work with backend leadership, dispatch, logistics, inventory, and customer success.

You will report to the Owner, mentor junior techs, manage vendor relationships and KPIs, and help shape our brand as a regional leader in residential HVAC solutions.

Qualifications

• : Minimum 5 years of verifiable hands-on residential HVAC service experience.
• : Current EPA 608 Certification (Universal preferred) and Seattle- or WA-specific licenses are desirable.
• : Valid WA State Driver’s License with clean record is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the field and oversee backend operations for HVAC services.
• Hybrid role blending hands-on HVAC work with operations leadership (dispatch, logistics, inventory, training, scheduling, customer success).
• Report directly to the Owner and help scale the business from the ground up.
• Oversee daily field operations and technician dispatching.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and complex residential HVAC service and installations.
• Manage inventory, parts orders, fleet, tools, and job costing.
• Mentor junior techs and enforce safety and quality standards.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and team training.
• Work with software systems (ServiceTitan or similar).
• Track KPIs and support strategic business decisions.
