Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of complex, custom-engineered HVAC and mechanical projects.

This position will take ownership of project execution from a logistical, commercial, and customer-facing perspective. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, technical teams, sales, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, professionally, and to a high standard.

You will act as a key representative on major project sites, helping coordinate resources, manage expectations, resolve challenges, and ensure contractual and service commitments are met.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

• Take ownership of the execution of major and complex HVAC/MEP projects.
• Work directly with customers and project stakeholders to understand site logistics, project challenges, schedules, and expectations.
• Develop and maintain effective project logistics and execution plans.
• Ensure project commitments and agreed scopes are delivered accurately and on schedule.
• Coordinate internal technical resources to ensure projects have the appropriate support throughout execution.
• Work collaboratively with project delivery and technical teams to overcome challenges and maintain project momentum.
• Monitor project requirements and identify potential issues before they impact delivery.
• Assist with warranty assessments and help determine appropriate courses of action when issues arise.

Customer & Site Management

• Serve as a professional representative for the business on customer and construction sites.
• Build strong working relationships with customers, contractors, engineers, and internal teams.
• Manage customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide a high level of communication and responsiveness to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Conduct needs assessments and use findings to recommend appropriate solutions.
• Provide basic technical assistance and support on-site when required.
• Be comfortable working in active construction and mechanical environments.

Commercial & Business Development

• Identify opportunities for additional revenue within existing projects and customer relationships.
• Recognize potential requirements for service agreements, replacement equipment, upgrades, or additional project work.
• Work alongside the sales team to identify and develop these opportunities.
• Ensure project execution supports both customer satisfaction and wider commercial objectives.
• Coordinate effectively with technical, engineering, sales, and project delivery resources.
• Ensure internal resources are being used efficiently and appropriately.
• Promote strong communication and collaboration between different teams and organisations.
• Share technical knowledge and project experience where it can benefit colleagues or project outcomes.
• Take ownership of problems and utilise available resources to develop effective solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in construction project management, MEP engineering, HVAC, or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of construction project delivery and mechanical/HVAC environments.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

The position requires regular interaction with active construction and mechanical environments. Candidates should be comfortable visiting and working on job sites, including climbing ladders and using basic hand tools when necessary to access equipment.
