Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years of increasingly responsible experience in the mechanical/HVAC trade.
• Completion of a formal course of training as a mechanical or HVAC apprentice.
• Possession of a current, valid driver's license.
• Applicants with elevator trade experience may be given preference.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate mechanical construction/installation for compliance with codes, ordinances, standards, plans and specifications.
• Issue non-conformance and violation notices and stop work orders to correct non-compliant installations.
• Communicate inspection findings to supervisors, contractors, and others; prepare inspection reports and summaries.
