F&G Mechanical Corporation is seeking an HVAC Mechanical Estimator with experience in pipe take-offs and using estimating software like Trimble MEP AutoBid Mechanical or similar. The role focuses on estimating and providing detailed pricing for bid quotations and packages, with 100% in-office work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years HVAC estimating experience in the construction industry, preferably mechanical.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor/Master in engineering or construction-related field desirable.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and contract documentation.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Familiarity with AutoBid and other electrical/technical/construction programs.
• Familiarity with project management/document control software.
• Familiarity with construction/financial software packages.

Responsibilities

• Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future projects.
• Consult with clients, vendors, or foremen to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
• Prepare estimates used by management for planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
• Analyze blueprints to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Review contract and bid documents and project scope.
• Attend pre-bid and scope clarification meetings.
• Quantitative take-offs and computer entry.
• Prepare scope letters and proposals.
• Maintain relationships with customers, GCs, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with Engineering Department on estimates.
