Superior Mechanical, Incorporated seeks an HVAC Mechanical Engineer to support planning, design, estimation, coordination, and delivery of commercial and industrial mechanical systems. Qualifications

  • Two or more years of HVAC, mechanical consulting, design-build, construction, service, controls, or facilities engineering experience.
  • Hands-on CAD experience; strong AutoCAD preferred.
  • Engineer Intern (EI/EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure; candidates actively pursuing licensure are encouraged.
  • Experience with Revit, load-calculation software, equipment-selection tools, energy modeling.
  • Familiarity with applicable mechanical, energy, ventilation, fire/life-safety, and building codes and standards, including ASHRAE guidance.
  • Experience with design-build project delivery, existing-building renovations, commissioning, building automation systems, or energy-efficiency projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, design, estimating, coordination, and successful delivery of commercial and industrial mechanical systems.
  • Develop practical, code-compliant HVAC solutions reflecting customer needs and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with Senior Engineers, field personnel, customers, architects, contractors, vendors and other project partners from concept through project completion.

Role Description:

The HVAC Mechanical Engineer supports the planning, design, estimating, coordination, and successful delivery of commercial and industrial mechanical systems. This role develops practical, code-compliant HVAC solutions that reflect customer needs, project requirements, energy performance, constructability, and Superior Mechanical's standards for quality and service. The engineer works closely with Senior Engineers, internal operations teams, field personnel, customers, architects, contractors, vendors, and other project partners from early concept through project completion.

Qualifications:
  • Two or more years of HVAC, mechanical consulting, design-build, construction, service, controls, or facilities engineering experience.
  • Hands-on CAD experience is a major plus. Candidates with strong AutoCAD experience will receive significant consideration
  • Engineer Intern (EI/EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure; candidates actively pursuing licensure are encouraged.
  • Experience with Revit, load-calculation software, equipment-selection tools, energy modeling, or similar engineering applications.
  • Familiarity with applicable mechanical, energy, ventilation, fire/life-safety, and building codes and standards, including ASHRAE guidance.
