Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Drafter II to provide drafting and engineering support for our Mesa Energy Systems Engineering Group.

The role involves assisting engineers on diverse projects across commercial, industrial, government, healthcare, and education markets. The position requires 4+ years of CAD drafting experience (AutoCAD/REVIT) and an AAS or 1-year CAD certificate, with the ability to manage multiple projects and work autonomously in a team environment.

Qualifications

• AAS degree or 1-year certificate in CAD, design fundamentals, and blueprint reading.
• 4+ years CAD drafting experience with formal AutoCAD/REVIT training/certification.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and make autonomous decisions.
• Knowledge of permitting submittal requirements in the mechanical field.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Office and related software; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers and team with drafting and layouts for HVAC systems.
• Draft detailed schematics for HVAC systems per guidelines.
• Participate in job-site surveys to collect as-built data.
• Convert field surveys into plan formats; use AutoCAD for plans.
• Maintain CAD library and standards; explore new CAD drafting tech.
• Support project scope, submittals, and related drafting tasks.
