Job summary

Valeo's Elkhart, Indiana site seeks an R&D Technician to design HVAC components, build 3D models and 2D drawings, and validate concepts for greener mobility.

You will collaborate with suppliers and prototype teams, release manufacturable designs, and apply CAD methods to produce data that passes Q-Checker.

An Engineering degree (BSME) and 5+ years of CATIA CAD experience are required, in a global, innovation-driven environment.

Qualifications

• HVAC system and components design experience.
• 5+ years of CATIA Design SW CAD (3D modeling and 2D drawings).
• Experience releasing designs for manufacturing with suppliers.
• Support prototype build-up and validation testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative and reliable HVAC solutions meeting specifications.
• Design 3D models and prepare definition files for products, prototypes and test means.
• Share technical topics with prototype workshop and suppliers.
• Prepare technical files to justify concept and solution choices.
• Build 2D drawings with functional dimensions per ISO standards.
• Define and identify functional and critical characteristics.
• Support project planning and updates.
• Apply CAD methodologies and deliver CAD data passing Q-Checker.
