Job summary

Selectek, Inc. in Duluth, GA is seeking an HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer to design HVAC systems for medical facilities and assorted buildings.

You will size equipment, perform load calculations, and coordinate with plumbing, electrical, and civil engineers and architects to ensure integrated design. Responsibilities include preparing CAD/REVIT drawings, reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and supporting field staff on projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Proficient in Revit with experience in CAD/BIM workflows.
• Knowledge of HVAC design standards and codes.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems including ductwork, piping, and equipment sizing/selection.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations and apply results to layouts.
• Coordinate with Plumbing, Electrical, Civil engineers and architects.
• Meetings with clients to coordinate plumbing and other systems.
• Meetings with vendors to specify equipment.
• Manage and deliver revisions and submittal/shop drawings.
• Respond to RFIs and support construction site reviews when required.
• Prepare CAD/ REVIT generated drawings and specifications.
