Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a HVAC\/R technician to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC\/R systems, DDC control systems, and related equipment at a facility in Woburn, MA, 1st shift (6:00am - 2:30pm). The role requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Confidential clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work from wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, operating manuals to install, maintain, and repair HVAC\/R equipment.
• Maintain, repair, and adjust oil\/gas burners and clean heating boiler combustion chambers.
• Identify and troubleshoot HVAC\/R equipment malfunctions and initiate corrective actions.
• Maintain and replace controls—including DDC and pneumatic—compressors, pumps, motors, belts, pulleys, shives, bearings.
• Regulate and maintain climate control for the facility and manufacturing processes.
• Perform daily inspections, repairs, and general housekeeping of work area, tools, and equipment.
• Calculate heating\/cooling loads and provide data for modifications.
• Notify supervision when major repairs or modifications are required.
• Retrieve materials and stock for assigned work and maintain records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of trade school experience.
• Current Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician license.
• Current #608 EPA Universal certification.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain DoD Confidential clearance.
• Good computer skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Reliable, dependable, and available for travel and alternate center assignments.
