University of Louisville is seeking an HVAC Mechanic III to perform skilled service, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems across boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, pumps, and piping.

Position Description: The HVAC Mechanic III position will perform skilled service, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, pumps, valves, piping, and special equipment. Ensure safe and efficient operation of facilities systems, adhere to regulatory standards, and support renovations and essential building operations, including standby and call-in responsibilities. This is a required personnel position that necessitates the employee’s physical presence in the workplace. The employee must also report to or remain at work during university emergencies or closures and maintain a valid, insurable driver’s license under the University’s insurance policy.
Minimum: $24.74/hr. Midpoint: $30.94/hr. Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
