Position Overview

Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, VA is hiring a full-time HVAC Mechanic to inspect, repair and maintain HVAC systems, including parts, supplies, and equipment. Responsible for following operational and departmental guidelines and meeting regulatory and compliance requirements, such as OSHA.

Location and Shift

Harrisonburg, VA – First Day shift

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Trade School Graduate (Required)
• Post-secondary/vocational training in air conditioning, refrigeration, math, physics, chemistry, and basic mechanics (Preferred)

Certification / Licensure

• Journeyman’s license for Heating Vent and AC (required by end of first year of employment)
• Driver’s License (Required)
• Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification Type 2 (High-Pressure Appliances) (Required)
• Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification Type 1 (Small Appliances) (Required)
• Universal Certification (Preferred)
