Malace|HR is seeking an experienced HVAC Mobile Maintenance Mechanic in the Columbus area. The role involves working 1st shift hours with a pay rate of $32-36 per hour. The HVAC Maintenance Mechanic supports operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. The role includes performing maintenance and repair tasks, both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing interior and exterior property areas, such as walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing, and lighting.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintenance:
- Perform ongoing preventive and reactive work orders on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other systems and components.
- Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, interior/exterior repairs, and grounds.
- Conduct facility inspections and report conditions affecting client occupancy and operations.
- Perform general interior maintenance, such as hanging pictures, repairing furniture, and doors.
- Move office furniture, machinery, and equipment as needed.
- Replace lighting and ballasts.
- Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Safety:- Complete hazard assessments as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and recognize hazards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable ordinances, codes, and laws.
- Complete required safety training.
- Practice defensive driving.
- Follow policies for hazardous materials handling.
Driving:- Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license (if mobile).
Administrative:- Submit P-card receipts daily.
- Update work order status in real time.
- Use CMMS systems such as 360 Facility for work documentation.
- Perform vehicle safety inspections.
- Report issues promptly.
- Attend work and safety meetings.
Other:- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3rd party certification.
Physical Work Requirements and Conditions
- Lifting up to 80 lbs.
- Working at heights.
- Climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working overhead frequently.
- Working in extreme cold or hot conditions.
- Driving for extended periods.
- Climbing ladders up to 30 feet.
