Job summary

Prince William County Government is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of HVAC, refrigeration, and food service equipment. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on diverse mechanical systems at Locust Shade Park and county facilities.

The role requires detailed records, scheduling, and coordinating contractor activities, with on-site work Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with 2 years of HVAC related experience.
5+ years in general HVAC maintenance preferred.
Ability to review specifications and drawings for code compliance.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, repair, and calibrate residential and commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and maintain detailed service records.
Coordinate contractor activities and prioritize maintenance tasks.
Provide technical guidance to other maintenance staff.
