Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking an HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in a 24/7 cGMP-regulated facility.

You will work with AHUs, chillers, boilers, and cleanroom HVAC systems to ensure continuous operation and environmental control. The role requires interpreting technical drawings and logs, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and documenting activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain temperature-controlled environments, including cold and warm rooms.

• Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.


• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.


• Accurately complete maintenance logs and system documentation.


• Apply strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to system issues.

• Support consistent environmental control to meet manufacturing and facility standards.

Minimum Education High School Diploma

Additional information:

• Ability to work rotating schedule which includes working every other Sunday, 2-3days on and 2-3 days off; 12-hour work days


• Climbing ladders, confined space, LOTO, hot work permit


• HVACs will work in cold rooms


• Exposure to chemicals such as glycol, utilities, IPA, spor-klenz and refrigerant


• Role will operate: Scissor list, boom lift.
