Job summary

Westland Real Estate Group is looking for an HVAC Maintenance Technician for their Villas at Desert Pointe in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate will have strong HVAC skills and be responsible for maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

In addition to HVAV work, the technician will handle plumbing and electrical repairs and respond to after-hours emergencies. Competitive hourly pay is offered, including benefits like medical, dental, and 401(k) with match.

About the Role

You will be our go‑to expert for all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Your primary role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment across the property. In addition, you will apply your general maintenance skills to plumbing, electrical, and other repairs to keep the community in top condition. You will also respond to after‑hours on‑call maintenance emergencies on a rotating schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all HVAC systems, including component replacement and refrigerant handling.
• Perform skilled repairs in plumbing (unclogging drains, fixing leaks) and electrical systems (replacing fixtures, switches, and ballasts).
• Respond to and complete resident work orders efficiently and professionally, ensuring high satisfaction.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings and mechanical equipment, make proactive repairs, and prepare apartment units for new residents.

Mandatory Certifications

• Valid HVAC Certification
• EPA Universal Certification

Required Experience & Skills

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience as an HVAC technician.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Ability to participate in a rotating on‑call schedule for after‑hours emergencies.
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems and strong skills in general maintenance, including plumbing and electrical.
• Physical ability to lift over 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
