WinnCompanies seeks a General Maintenance Technician - HVAC Specialist I at the Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ. You’ll perform maintenance across rental units, offices, and grounds, ensuring safe service and positive customer feedback.

This federal facility role requires a REAL ID, valid driver's license, and basic skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or appliance repair. On-call after hours may be required, with documented work on mobile devices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
• A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet driving records standards.
• Current HVAC license.
• Proficiency in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, flooring, or appliances.
• Ability to provide basic tools and equipment for daily duties.
• Basic familiarity with computers and web-based applications.
• Ability to read and write in English to understand instructions and take direction.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
• This position is located at a federal facility and requires REAL ID access.

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot HVAC systems and parts.
• Diagnose HVAC issues, such as no heat or no air.
• Understand pressures and system capabilities, including freon.
• Replace commonly-used parts in HVAC systems.
• Assist with replacement of full HVAC systems.
• Respond to service calls related to residential maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances).
• Complete service calls/Change of Occupancy Maintenance work.
• Transport, install, and connect appliances.
• Respond to after-hours emergency repairs.
• Operate power tools and record work on mobile devices.
