Job summary

NuBlue Electric, Plumbing & Air – Charlotte/LKN, NC, is seeking a skilled HVAC Maintenance Service Technician to join our fast-growing team. You will perform light repairs, maintenance, and customer-focused service in residential settings, documenting findings and communicating clearly from arrival to completion.

Qualifications

• Trade school training with residential HVAC experience preferred.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort using mobile technology for scheduling and documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform light repairs and troubleshooting of residential HVAC systems
• Execute maintenance service on HVAC systems for our NuShield Protection Plan Members
• Accurately document maintenance findings, equipment condition, work completed, recommendations, photos, customer communication
• Perform regular maintenance to prevent major repairs
• Communicate professionally from arrival through completion, protect the customer's home, maintain a clean work area, respect the customer's property, and ensure the customer
• Remain observant for potential plumbing, electrical, or other home-service concerns while in the customer's home. Communicate identified concerns to the customer
• Prepare information for customers to be clearly explained and educate customers on all of their options to take care of their home
• Maintain clear and timely communication with dispatchers, customer service representatives, supervisors, and other technicians regarding job status

What You’ll Do
