Job summary

Sandpiper Heating and AC in North Carolina seeks a dependable HVAC Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on residential systems while delivering excellent customer experience.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of HVAC maintenance or service experience, EPA 608 certification, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills. You will work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments with company tools and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of HVAC maintenance or service experience preferred.
• EPA 608 Certification required.
• Basic knowledge of residential HVAC systems (gas furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners).
• Ability to troubleshoot minor issues and perform routine repair.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on residential heating and cooling systems.
• Inspect HVAC systems to identify performance issues and potential repairs.
• Clean, adjust, and replace filters, belts, motors, and other components as needed.
• Document system conditions and maintenance performed using company tools/software.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers and internal teams.
• Promote maintenance agreements and identify opportunities for system improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and follow all safety procedures.
• Comply with EPA, local, and company regulations and standards.
