Job summary

L3Harris is seeking an HVAC Mechanic- Maintenance to support the Clifton, NJ site. You will perform skilled mechanical and electrical work on HVAC/R systems, diagnose issues, and perform preventive maintenance while coordinating with supervisors and other trades.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 5+ years of industrial experience, and a valid NJ driver’s license. Expected safety compliance and routine record-keeping are part of daily duties, with a competitive benefits package and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years related industrial experience.
• Must have a valid NJ driver’s license to operate registered company vehicles.
• Familiarity with and observe all OSHA, NEC, NFPA, EHS, ITT and local electrical, gas, and safety codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in servicing, maintaining, regulating, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
• Check and inspect air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, including compressors, pumps, filters, bearings, belts, circuits, and piping.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and repair or replace defective parts in units and controls.
• Check and adjust temperatures of air conditioning systems and assist in changes to energy management systems.
• Communicate maintenance and repair activities to HVAC mechanics and management.
• Maintain routine records related to maintenance and repair activities.
• Operate personal and drivable man lifts and company vehicles.
• Close-out service calls or preventive maintenance requests in the software system.
• Observe and comply with safety codes and regulations.
