Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Electrician/HVAC Technician Assistant at the Clifton, NJ site. The role focuses on skilled mechanical and electrical work for servicing heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems, along with diagnostic testing and routine maintenance.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least 5 years of related industrial experience, and a valid NJ drivers license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years related industrial experience.
• Must have a valid NJ drivers license to operate registered company vehicles.
• Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, NFPA, EHS, ITT and local electrical, gas, and safety codes.
• Ability to work alone or with other trades in performance of repair projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in servicing, maintaining, regulating, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
• Check and inspect installations and items of air conditioning and food storage equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems; repair or replace defective parts in units and in equipment controls.
• Check and adjust temperatures of air conditioning systems and assist in changes to energy systems.
• Operate and coordinate with management on maintenance and repair activities.
