Job summary

Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc. in Midland, TX seeks a professional Local Delivery Driver to safely operate company trucks, load/unload and deliver products to customer sites, and maintain DOT compliance. You will also support warehouse and front counter tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
• Working knowledge of commercial truck mechanics.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving in past 3 years.
• DOT road test, pre-employment drug & alcohol testing, and background check.
• DMV record cannot reflect more than 2 moving violations/accidents in past 3 years.
• Must pass DOT standards.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook & Excel), Mincron and a scanner.
• Able to multi-task and assist in warehouse/front counter as needed.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and deliver product to customer sites within designated time frames safely.
• Maintain logs and reports to comply with DOT and company policies.
• Safely load, block, brace, and secure cargo.
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently.
• Perform vehicle and forklift pre-/post-checks.
• Execute warehouse duties and assist in front counter or branch as needed.
• Follow housekeeping and safety practices.
• Heavy lifting required.
• Be timely to work and conscientious of time.
