LVI Associates in Austin is seeking a Lead HVAC Service Technician to join its growing commercial team. This senior role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on expertise with RTUs, VRF, chillers, boilers, and controls, and a commitment to delivering reliable service to large facilities.

You will supervise daily service operations, mentor technicians, and help identify retrofit opportunities while maintaining safety and high-quality documentation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• EPA Certification is required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.
• Experience leading crews or mentoring technicians.

A leading commercial mechanical contractor is seeking a Lead HVAC Service Technician to join its growing Austin team. This role is ideal for a seasoned technician with strong technical expertise, leadership experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to commercial clients.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily service operations and provide technical guidance to field technicians
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment
• Perform and oversee preventative maintenance programs
• Support scheduling, job execution, and quality control efforts
• Build strong relationships with customers and serve as a trusted technical advisor
• Identify repair, retrofit, and replacement opportunities
• Maintain accurate service documentation and reporting
• Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
• Demonstrated experience leading crews, mentoring technicians, or acting as a technical lead
• Strong knowledge of RTUs, split systems, VRF systems, chillers, boilers, pumps, and controls
• Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities
• EPA Certification required
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong customer-facing communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large commercial facilities, healthcare, industrial, office, or mission-critical environments
• BAS/Controls experience
• Manufacturer certifications and advanced technical training
• Previous experience supporting service sales or identifying project opportunities
